Red Lentil Bread

If you want to eat bread but want it to have protein, keep you full and make you happy, put lentils in water immediately :)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups red lentils, soaked overnight and drained

  • 1/2 cup (cup) cayenne pepper powder

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1/2 glass of water

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 + 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

  • sesame/black cumin/seed to decorate

Preparation


  1. I washed the lentils thoroughly the night before, soaked them in water, drained them, and then blended them in a food processor.

  2. I preheated the oven to 180 degrees.

  3. I mixed all the ingredients one by one and mixed them in between to make dough.

  4. I divided it into 2 because I wanted to make it smaller and bigger. I tried two different shapes. One was toast bread, the other was ball bread. Both were successful.

  5. I baked it in the oven at 180 degrees without a fan for 20-25 minutes.

  6. I took it out of the oven and let it cool outside for at least 10 minutes.
